Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Role: Responsible for the
preparation of periodic mortgage loan accounting reports, loan
payment processing and administration, reconciliation,
administration of insurances, taxes, annual escrow analysis, annual
1098 processing and administration of investor loans. Maximum one
day of remote work weekly. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Maintains mortgage information including payment postings,
updating member information, processing payoffs, processing
curtailments, quarterly statements, adjustments, account research,
etc. - Administers timely disbursements of escrow and maintains
mortgage loan in accordance with real estate lending policies,
federal regulations, secondary market guideline, and local and
state laws. - Maintains FNMA investor loans including the timely
submission of payments and reporting. - Answers telephone inquiries
and all other correspondence from members regarding payoffs, change
of ownership, note modifications, and other maintenance of mortgage
loans. - Prepares routine letters to members. - Resolves tax and
insurance issues with appropriate state or county. - Releases liens
on all real estate secured loans. - Cross selling Credit Union's
products and services. - Works with other departments as necessary
to achieve success and/or minimize risk. - Suggests and creates
ways to streamline the mortgage servicing process to increase
efficiency and accuracy. - Performs other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements: 1. To meet the minimum established
incentive goal each month. 2. To return all phone calls and answer
all correspondence within 24 hours. 3. To insure all mortgage loans
are serviced in accordance with established policies, regulations
and secondary market guidelines. 4. To provide informed,
professional, and accurate service and support to all members and
associates. 5. To demonstrate a knowledge of all mortgage products
and rates, both within the Credit Union and from the industry
overall. 6. To develop recommendations for cost efficiency and
enhancements to products, pricing, processes by monitoring trends
in operations and deposit services. 7. To maintain a dependable
record of attendance and timeliness. 8. To comply with Credit
Union's security policy and other policies and procedures if
applicable. Knowledge and Skills: Experience: One year to three
years of similar or related experience. Education: A high school
education or GED. Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal
contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the
purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships,
and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of
confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in
communication. Other Skills: 1. Must possess sales/service skill.
2. Must have a NMLS license or the ability to qualify to obtain the
certification. 3. Must be able to read and understand deeds and
notes. 4. Must have working knowledge of Fannie Mae Investor
reporting and reconciliations. 5. Must have working knowledge of
regulations affecting mortgage lending. 6. Must have excellent
verbal and written communication skills. 7. Must have
analytical/judgmental skills. 8. Must have working knowledge of
spreadsheets and word processing software; be able to use PC and
general office equipment including 10u2014key calculator. Physical
Requirements: This position mostly operates from a desk. Physical
activity is generally limited to lifting small boxes or items less
than 20 lbs. Must be able to sit for extended period of time. Work
