Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Overview: JHNA is currently
seeking a talented Senior Operations Research Analyst/Engineer to
support our OUSW government customer in Alexandria, VA. This
position will require on-site/in-person support at the Mark Center
Building. As the Operations Research Analyst/Engineer with JHNA,
you will support the Office of the Undersecretary of War for
Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E) Assistant Secretary of War
for Mission Capabilities (ASW(MC)) and the Deputy Assistant
Secretary of War for Mission Integration (DASW(MI)) in executing
mission engineering and integration to address joint key
operational problems. The organization's mission is to establish,
maintain, and propagate mission integration across the Department.
Activities include mission engineering, analyses and studies, and
mission integration expertise to produce objective insights and
analytic justification to inform future technology and capability
investment decisions and aid in the prioritization, alignment and
validation of requirements to deliver modernized capabilities that
enable an all-domain joint force to inform and enable
implementation of future Joint Warfighting Concepts.
Responsibilities Assist with planning, coordination, and completion
of Mission Engineering analysis and studies, lending technical
expertise to help coordinate and track progress, execution and
quality control of efforts. Assist the customer with planning,
coordination and execution of the Mission Engineering Practitioners
Forum, to include preparing for Mission Engineering Working Group
meetings/ Executive Steering Council meetings to improve the
practice of Mission Engineering. Oversee Mission Engineering and
Integration Industry Engagement, to include coordinating individual
one-on-one industry engagements, mission engineering forums with
multiple companies, coordinating the receipt, review, and
evaluation of industry white papers, and supporting the
establishment of Information Exchange Agreements with various
companies. Prepare presentations for senior leaders and decision
makers or engagements with Industry. Coordinate and develop
holistic responses to OSW Taskings and Congressional requests for
information. Coordinate activities across the ODASW organization.
Take ownership of customer problems and, where possible,
anticipating problems. Expand the JHNA team in the National Capital
region supporting various offices in OSW and the Service Staffs.
Engage with other companies to team and shape business and
proposals. Required Qualifications: Candidate must be a U.S.
Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance. Education:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university 7 years of
experience in operations research with a focus on mission
engineering, systems engineering, or operational analysis. 5 years
of experience with mission planning and analysis to include the
development or evaluation of mission threads, operational plans
(OPLANs), concepts of operations (CONOPS), concepts of employment
(CONEMPS) and defense systems. 3 years of experience collaborating
with diverse teams including engineering, operational planners, and
technologists, to accomplish complex tasks. This includes
interactions with the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Military
Services, Intelligence Community or Office of Secretary of Defense
organizations. 3 years of working knowledge and experience
understanding of modeling, simulation and analysis (MS&A)
techniques to support operational planning, system performance
analysis, or mission design in defense contexts. 2 years of
experience within the military or defense sector in areas related
to joint operations, combat systems, research and development
(R&D) and science and technology (S&T), or mission
planning. Desired Qualifications: Education: Masters Degree from an
accredited college/university 3 years of experience supporting
Senior Level Department of Defense organizations such as OSD, Joint
Staff, or Service Staff 3 years of Wargaming experience at a
high-level Service Headquarters or Command 3 years of Model Based
Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience 3 years experience with SysML
modeling and use of AFSIM
