Job Description:
MV Transportation, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Mechanic Level C
to join our maintenance team. This role is crucial in maintaining
the safety and operational efficiency of our transportation fleet.
As a part of a dynamic team, the Mechanic Level C will work across
various types of vehicles, including paratransit, fixed routes,
shuttles, and school buses, ensuring they operate safely and
efficiently. This position requires a detail-oriented professional
with a passion for mechanical work and a strong commitment to
public safety and customer service. Perform routine vehicular
maintenance as mandated by maintenance schedules, including but not
limited to oil changes, tire rotations, and hydraulic systems
repairs. Diagnose and repair minor mechanical issues in diesel and
gasoline powered vehicles. Assist higher-level technicians with
complex diagnostics and repairs. Maintain accurate records of each
repair performed on vehicles through our maintenance database
system. Ensure the work environment maintains its integrity by
complying with both company safety policies and regulatory safety
guidelines. Attend and participate in training and informational
sessions to stay updated on industry standards and technology
advancements. Basic knowledge of automotive and diesel engine
mechanics. Ability to use standard mechanical tools and diagnostic
equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for interacting with team members
and supervisors. Ability to perform physical tasks frequently,
including lifting up to 50 pounds and operating heavy equipment.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASE
(Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are preferred but
not required.
