(US Remote)What you will doLets do this. Lets change the world! The
Director, Patient Access & Affordability Capabilities leads the
team responsible for managing the design, implementation and
ongoing operations of Amgens co-pay programs. This team also
develops new solutions to address patient access and affordability
needs. It is part of the Patient Access and Reimbursement team and
reports to an Executive Director of Patient Access and
Reimbursement (PAR).Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of Amgen patient affordability
strategies in alignment with brand strategic imperatives and
financial goals
- Manage the design, implementation and ongoing operations of all
affordability programs (most notably co-pay but inclusive of
coupons, evoucher, cash pay etc) finding opportunities for program
enhancements and optimization, based on performance and operational
metrics
- Conduct periodic copay and financial assistance market
landscape and competitor benchmark assessments
- Proactive partnership with Brand team to ensure clarity on
performance, progress and opportunities related to affordability
programs given P/L impact of programs
- Partner with legal, compliance and safety on Patient Support
Program review and approval
- Partner closely with Value & Access Insights and Analytics and
Finance to support financial planning cycle
- Keep abreast of ever-changing market dynamics and industry
trends for pharmacy and medical benefit products to evolve co-pay
programs and other patient affordability solutions as needed
- Collaborate with Data & Insights to ensure consistent data
management and reporting across programs
- Track and report key operational metrics, program performance
metrics and financials to key partners
- Oversee team budget management and vendor relationships
- Manage resolution of customer issues
- Collaborate with PAR channel partners, marketing and sales to
ensure pull through of Patient Affordability solutions
- Establish and maintain relationships with cross-functional
partners including but not limited to: Value & Access, Marketing,
Sales, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Data & Analytics
- Lead and develop direct reports, also implementing
training/career development opportunities for team
- Build strong culture & embody ONE team approach across Patient
Access & Reimbursement, Value & Access, Brand team and

qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 4 years of
marketing, sales management and/or payer experienceOrMasters degree
and 7 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer
experience,OrBachelors degree and 9 years of marketing, sales
management and/or payer experiencePreferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare
industries with experience in patient support, market access,
marketing or related commercial function
- Copay Industry Knowledge & Experience working knowledge of
copay design, implementation and operations, understanding of
available copay solutions, best practices and evolving market
dynamics
- Customer centric Ability to solution with the customer and
patient experience in mind
- Anticipatory Forward looking, ability to plan ahead
- Working knowledge of the compliance and regulatory environment
for manufacturers in the pharmaceutical space
- Experienced leader - Experience leading cross-functional teams
in a matrix environment; managing projects involving multiple
functions and shared accountabilities
- Strong financial competence and analytical skills
- Strong communicator - Develops and delivers concise, relevant
and well-supported briefings and adapts presentation content and

for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual
salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited
to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.In addition to
