communities through the buildings we create.Job DescriptionWe are
seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager for our
Auburn, WA manufacturing site, part of our Apertures Solutions
division producing windows. The EHS Manager will lead efforts to
ensure site and employee compliance with applicable EHS
regulations, champion projects to meet corporate and site goals,
and support corporate initiatives. The role reports to a Senior
Regional EHS Manager and indirectly to the Plant Manager, with
occasional travel to support other locations or corporate
projects.
- Develop and implement policies and programs for compliance with
local, regional, and federal EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA,
etc.).
- Ensure local safe work policies are developed, communicated,
and followed, promoting safe operating practices.
- Lead incident reporting and investigation procedures, providing
technical expertise to identify root causes and prevent
recurrence.
- Conduct EHS training to maintain compliance across the
organization.
- Perform site inspections to identify hazards and determine
corrective actions, with occasional travel.
- Maintain an EHS compliance calendar for all regulatory
activities.
- Lead and support EHS committees and initiatives at the
site.
- Ensure timely regulatory event reporting, including OSHA logs
and incident notifications.
- Manage site systems for inspections, emergency responses, and
regulatory compliance.
- Develop and monitor EHS performance metrics, implement
corrective actions, and set goals for improvement.
- Analyze EHS data, communicate trends, and lead review meetings
with site and corporate leadership.
- Conduct annual reviews and audits, developing corrective action
plans.
- Manage environmental compliance programs, including permits and
reports for water, air, waste, and other regulations.
- Maintain environmental testing and record-keeping systems.
- Promote sustainability initiatives per company and location
requirements.
- Ensure SDS management systems meet regulatory standards.
- Implement hazardous chemical monitoring programs as
needed.
- Support capital projects by reviewing EHS hazards and
permitting requirements.
- Review new processes, equipment, and construction projects for
EHS impacts, collaborating on corrective actions.
- Develop procedures and training for EHS management
systems.
- Monitor and report on EHS corrective actions and
performance.
- Collaborate with facilities and risk management teams on
inspections and corrective actions.
- Support HR and insurance functions related to occupational
health and safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in EHS or related science; Master's
preferred. Alternatively, 10 years of EHS experience.
- At least 5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, including
regulatory interactions.
- Minimum 2 years of EHS leadership experience.
- Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH, or similar
are preferred.
- Strong understanding of EHS science, regulations, and
analytical skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA laws, including Title V air
permitting and waste management.
- Excellent technical writing, negotiation, conflict resolution,
and training skills.Competencies

- Experience managing complex operations and projects.
- Proficiency with software tools (Windows, MS Office).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with management
teams.
- Financial management skills for operating budgets.Working
Conditions
- Occasional domestic travel (2-3 trips/year).
- Work primarily in office, warehouse, and manufacturing
environments, with some laboratory work.
- Moderate physical activity may be required for emergency
response duties.
