We value your well-being both at work and outside of it.Position Overview:We are seeking an Executive Director to support the District of Columbia within the National Capital and Greater Chesapeake Region. This role is based in Northwest Washington and focuses on community relations, capacity building, fundraising, and board leadership. You will represent the Red Cross in the community, support regional initiatives, and build relationships with partners and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership of the DC Chapter: Serve as the vital link between the Red Cross and the community, ensuring impactful presence and mission delivery.
• Community Engagement: Cultivate relationships with community leaders, businesses, philanthropists, and officials to expand the Red Cross's reach.
• Board Development: Lead a diverse and influential Board of Directors to support Red Cross initiatives and resource development.
• Strategic Leadership: Inspire and motivate volunteers and staff to meet fundraising, blood collection, and mission goals.
• Inclusive Culture: Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and belonging within the team.
• Chapter Planning: Lead annual planning to maximize community impact.
• Regional Role: Collaborate with regional leadership to shape the direction of the Red Cross in the area.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and travel as needed.Physical and Additional Requirements:Standard office environment, ability to use office equipment, and flexibility to meet community needs.Preferred Experience:Experience with community partners and nonprofits, strong fundraising background in DC.Compensation & Benefits:Salary range: $95,000 - 110,000 plus incentives.
