MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST - (252411)Performs medical mammograms in order to diagnose disease or trauma. Responsible for programming the machine for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification and distortion. Prepares, maintains and operates mammography equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following appropriate radiation safety guidelines. Performs and documents all QA/QC tests as defined by MQSA. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography required within 1 year from date of hire.EducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)Non Degree Program : Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program.
