detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery team in Carlisle, PA. In this Monday through
Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. role, you’ll enjoy no weekends or

support a dynamic team of three providers—including one highly
skilled plastic surgeon and two experienced physician assistants—in
a small, collaborative office setting. From prepping patients to
assisting with in-office procedures, your role will be integral to
delivering exceptional care and smooth daily operations. /n If

salary range for this position is $18.12 - $28.39 based on
experience. /n This position qualifies for a $1500.00 sign on bonus

career can take you! /n /n The Medical Assistant will assist
physicians with various aspects of patient care (including
clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks) ensuring patient
satisfaction. /n Responsibilities: /n /n - Accompany patients to
exam/procedure room./n /n - Assist patients as needed with walking,
transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc.
/n - Collect patient information/history, taking vitals, performing
screenings per provider guidelines. /n - Relay instructions to
patients/families. /n /n /n - Portability and Accountability Act
(HIPAA) and other state and federal regulations. /n - Obtain
lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc. /n -
Complete forms/requisitions as needed. /n - Prepare and managing
charts to ensure information completed and filed appropriately./n
/n - Schedule appointments. /n - Verify insurance coverage and
patient demographics. /n /n /n - Prepare patient rooms, set up
instruments and equipment according to department protocol./n /n -
Clean exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between
patient visits to maintain infection control. /n - Manage inventory
of supplies; restocking exam/procedure rooms. /n /n /n - Check
schedules and organizing patient flow. /n - Answering calls and
providing pertinent information including patient education as
directed. /n - Perform clinic procedures according to policy and
procedure./n /n - Assist physicians with procedures. /n /n /n -
Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e.,
OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). /n - Maintain strict
confidentiality related to medical records and other data. /n -
Comply with all UPMC Health System policies and procedures. /n -
Under the direction and supervision of a physician, administer
injectable medication and vaccines when appropriate. /n - Other
front office responsibilities, as required. /n - Performs in
accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors. /n - Performs
other duties as assigned. /n Medical Assistant /n /n - High school
diploma or equivalent is required. /n - Must have basic computer
skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination,
diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities. /n /n Medical
Assistant, Senior /n /n - High school diploma or equivalent is
required. /n - Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program
or equivalent hospital program (LPN/RN/EMT)/n /n - OR successful
completion of certification examination (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or
NHA) /n - OR at least 1 year of patient care experience required.
/n /n /n - Must be responsible and demonstrate proficiency in three
practice category specific tasks. /n - Must have basic computer
skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination,
diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities. /n /n Applicants

Medical Assistant Career Ladder, based on their individual
experience and education. /n Licensure, Certifications, and
