Near Lenhartsville, PA Job ID: j-237536 We are seeking a qualified
Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position near Lenhartsville,
Pennsylvania. This opportunity is available starting ASAP and will
continue on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will have a
strong background in both inpatient and outpatient
gastroenterology, with board certification required. This role
involves providing comprehensive care, including diagnostic and
therapeutic procedures, and covering both clinical and call duties.

Locum Tenens Coverage Type: Call Only Practice Setting: Outpatient
and Inpatient Responsibilities and Expectations Primary
Responsibilities: Provide specialized gastroenterological care to
patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Perform
diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including endoscopies and
colonoscopies. Manage patients with a variety of gastrointestinal
disorders, ensuring comprehensive treatment plans. Collaborate with
other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Participate in on-call duties, covering emergencies and urgent
cases. Schedule and Coverage Shift Details: Call-only coverage,
with no routine outpatient clinic hours required. Must be available
for holiday coverage: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. Expected patient
volume: 11-13 patients per shift. Bed capacity in the department:
175 beds. Rounding on assigned patients is required. Practice
Details EMR System: Epic Practice Environment: A combination of
outpatient and inpatient settings, focusing on comprehensive
gastroenterological care. Patients Per Shift: 11-13 Special
Requirements: Must hold an active Pennsylvania medical license.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine with a specialty in
Gastroenterology. Fellowship training in Gastroenterology is
preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular
Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Requirements and
Qualifications Certifications: Board Certified in Gastroenterology
required. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. PALS and ATLS
are not required for this role. Licensing: Must be licensed to
practice in Pennsylvania. Experience: Extensive experience in
managing a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions is preferred.
