facility is a respected provider of specialized cardiac care
services in the region. The cardiothoracic surgery department
offers comprehensive surgical services with state-of-the-art
equipment and uses the Cerner EMR system to ensure seamless patient
care coordination. Opportunity: Physician Assistant -
Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Details: • Urgently seeking 1-2 PAs for
Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage • Hospital-based inpatient setting
• Operating on approximately 2 patients per day • Rounding on 5-12
patients daily (ICU and floor), including consults • Schedule
includes weekday, weekend, and night call coverage • Weekday
coverage: Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour in-house shifts • Night call:
6pm-6am • Weekend call: Friday 6pm through Monday 6am with rounding
from 7am-12pm Saturday and Sunday • Required procedures include
retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass grafts, endoscopic
retrieval, chest tube insertions, and first assist in OR for
cardiac surgery • Additional duties include rounding, coordination
of care, surgical assistance, diagnosing and treating illnesses,
ordering and interpreting tests, writing prescriptions, and suture
removal • Must have NCCPA certification and active New Jersey
license (no time for licensing process) • CSR required • Minimum of
2-3 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience, including
proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) and first assist
experience • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred • Credentialing
timeframe approximately 60 days Compensation: Competitive hourly
rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
