Registered Nurse (RN) | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Location: Clinton, MD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,129 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Clinton, Maryland, 20735! Job Title: NICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required. First-time travelers with NICU experience accepted. License: Must possess an active nursing license. Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE required. Must-Have: CPAP experience required. Experience in a Special Care Nursery Level II unit preferred. Description: The NICU RN will provide care for neonates in a Special Care Nursery setting. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the stability of cardiopulmonary, neurologic, metabolic, and thermal functions. The role involves assisting with specialized procedures such as lumbar punctures and endotracheal resuscitation of newborns. The NICU RN will initiate, modify, or stop treatment according to established protocols or orders. Every other weekend and holiday work is required. The nurse will float to Postpartum and Labor and Delivery for neonatal care. Knowledge of managing respiratory support via High Flow O2, CPAP, and Mechanical Ventilation is essential. The NICU RN must demonstrate skills in the management of central lines, peripheral IV insertions, and lab draws. Proficiency in neonatal resuscitation is required, with current certifications in NRP and STABLE. Effective patient and family teaching is necessary for this role.
