Job Details - Role: CVOR Registered Nurse / Cardiovascular Operating Room RN (Travel Nurse) - Location: Lebanon, PA 17042 — Pennsylvania travel nursing job - Assignment Length: 13 weeks - Start Date: March 30, 2026 - End Date: June 29, 2026 - Shift: 3x12-Hour Days (07:00 - 19:30) - Hours per Week: 36 - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2500–$2630 per week - Call Requirements: Every 3rd day and at least 1-2 weekends per month (weekday call 15:00-07:00, 48 hours on weekends) - Weekend/Holiday Coverage: As needed - Floating: Will assist in the General OR when there are no CVOR cases - COVID-19 & Flu Vaccines: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed) - Facility: Tobacco and fragrance free Job Requirements / Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience (cardiac surgery experience preferred: CABG, TAVR, MAZE, mitral valve replacement, ASD repair) - Active Registered Nurse license (no license hits accepted) - Certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC only) - EPIC charting experience required (EPIC documentation and perioperative charting) - Experience with cardiovascular and thoracic procedures including CABG, TAVR, MAZE, valve repairs/replacements, and atrial septal defect repair - Strong knowledge of infection control, fire safety, laser and radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol, and wound management - Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients, including potential COVID-19 cases - Must complete pre-start modules (5-6 hours) - Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract Responsibilities - Provide expert perioperative and intraoperative nursing care in the CVOR and assist in the General OR as needed - Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures using strict sterile technique - Administer blood and blood products, monitor patient status, and respond to emergencies during and after procedures - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including anesthesia, perfusion, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and surgical teams - Participate in call rotation and provide weekend/holiday coverage as scheduled - Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, hospital policies, and perioperative standards - Document care accurately and timely using EPIC electronic health records If you are a dedicated CVOR RN or cardiac OR travel nurse looking for a rewarding 13-week assignment in a friendly and vibrant community, we encourage you to apply.
