COVERAGE DATES • Starting May 19, 2025 – Ongoing PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults (95%), Pediatrics (5%) • Patient Volume/Census: Average 10 cases per week • Admissions: No • Rounding: Required on weekends for inpatients as needed • Phone Consults: Yes • Case Mix: General Urology; Testicular torsion for pediatric cases FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard urology equipment • Specialty Backup Available: APP/Mid-levels available weekdays 8a – 4:30p • Support Staff Available: PAs and NPs for initial consults and case prep • Reason for Coverage: Turnover Vacancy PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: 60 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • General Urologic Procedures (emergent as needed) • Testicular Torsion (pediatric cases) • Emergency surgical interventions not handled by APPs JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Pennsylvania medical license • Board: Board Certified in Urology • DEA: Active DEA Certification • Certifications: BLS, ACLS • Experience: Minimum 5 years in specialty • Other Qualifications: Ability to work 7-day call blocks (Monday to Monday) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide 24-hour call coverage for urology emergencies across 3 hospitals (within 10-mile radius) • Respond to consults, emergent surgeries, and APP escalations • Perform weekend rounding for inpatients as needed • Collaborate with APPs and hospital staff to manage urology cases • Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR Top Reasons to Choose a Locum Tenens Assignment Build a wide professional network by collaborating with different healthcare teams, opening doors for future career prospects and collaborations.
