Job Description Job Description Seeking Class A (CDL-A) drivers — recent driving-school graduates and experienced drivers — to operate regional dry-van routes with predictable freight and structured schedules. The role features paid mentor-led in-cab training and operation of late-model automatic tractors. Compensation and incentives Paid in-cab mentor-led training: $650 per week for a four-week training period. Base pay after training: $0.55 to $0.65 per mile, dependent on experience. Performance bonus: $0.04 to $0.06 per mile, paid monthly. Key details Freight: 100% no-touch dry-van freight. Drop-and-hook: Approximately 60% of loads. Equipment: Late-model automatic Freightliner Cascadia tractors. Typical home time: Generally two days every other week, depending on route and dispatch. Training Four-week paid mentor-led in-cab training to support recent graduates and transition new hires into regional operations. Primary responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles in full compliance with DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and company policies. Complete assigned regional routes and follow customer delivery instructions for dry-van freight. Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; promptly report defects and maintenance needs. Maintain accurate hours-of-service records and electronic logs as required by regulation. Ensure proper cargo securement and follow drop-and-hook procedures when applicable. Communicate professionally and promptly with dispatch and customers regarding schedules, delays, and delivery instructions. Follow company procedures for fuel management, routing, and on-road safety; report accidents, safety concerns, or compliance issues immediately. Minimum qualifications Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A). Minimum age: 21 years. Ability to meet DOT medical and regulatory requirements and to pass required drug screening and background checks. Proficiency in English sufficient for safe operation and clear communication with dispatch and customers. Recent graduates: Completion of at least 120 hours of truck driving school within the past 12 months is encouraged. Work environment and notes Primarily regional work with structured schedules aimed at predictable patterns and consistent home time. 100% no-touch freight reduces physical handling of loads.
