Job Description Job Description Shop Worker / Equipment Repair Technician – Savage, MD Are you a hands-on individual with a knack for repair and a commitment to great customer service? We are looking for one eager and dependable worker to join our team in Savage, MD to assist with the repair and maintenance of specialized construction rental gear. This is a fantastic full-time, stable, daytime opportunity! Pay Rate: $22.37 per hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Location: Savage, MD Your Responsibilities As a key part of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and readiness of our rental fleet, ensuring our construction clients have safe, high-quality equipment. Your day-to-day tasks will include: - Servicing and Repairing rented equipment such as hoists, chains, lifting equipment, cables, hooks, and ropes. - Preparing Rental Orders and conducting thorough inspections to ensure all equipment meets our strict quality and safety standards. - Providing Excellent Customer Service with a positive and efficient demeanor. - Maintaining a Clean and Organized workspace. - Assisting with Logistics by using a forklift (training available, but experience is a plus) for the loading, unloading, and organization of lifting and rigging equipment. - Performing Quality Control checks on both incoming and outgoing equipment. - Strictly following all safety protocols and procedures. Experience & Skills: - A minimum of 6 months of recent mechanical/repair experience in fields such as automotive mechanics, machine shop operations, heavy equipment repair, diesel mechanics, or general engine repair. - 6 months of recent warehouse experience is required. - Proficiency in safely using hand tools, paint, and power tools. - Experience working on air hoists, manual hoists, electric hoists, comealongs, or other rigging equipment is beneficial, but not required. Certifications & Physical Requirements: - Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and the ability to meet insurance underwriting guidelines is required. - Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs. - Must be able to lift/carry up to 55 lbs.
