an Operations Research Modeler for Undersea Warfare...
- Your primary responsibility will be to use a variety of
analysis methods and tools, including modeling and simulation, to
evaluate factors such as operational impact, potential concepts of
operations (CONOPs), system performance, logistic requirements, and
costs through the development of relevant metrics.
- Your work will include question refinement, requirements
development, system assessment, analysis of mission success, and
documentation to evaluate Undersea Warfare (USW) and Anti-Submarine
Warfare (ASW) platforms and sensors.
- You will work with a collaborative team to detail your
methodology, insights, and recommendations in reports and annotated
briefs for delivery to Department of Defense.
Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
- Have a Bachelor 's Degree with three or more years of relevant
experience, to include specific modeling experience using mission
analysis tools, such as AFSIM, Brawler, Storm, NGTS, STK, JAAM, or
Suppressor.
- Are technically oriented, possess strong curiosity and
organizational skills, and demonstrate a capability to think
analytically.
- Have initiative, motivation, flexibility, and a desire to work
in an engaging and cooperative team environment.
- Are willing and able to travel (i.e., occasional 2-3 day trips
or week long tests), are willing to work on dynamic projects, and
have an ability to prioritize a number of concurrent taskings.
- Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance
by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level
clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government
security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for
access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include

- Have a Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied
Mathematics, Operations Research, or other relevant technical
field.
- Have USW/ASW operational or technical experience.
- Have demonstrated experience working with AFSIM.
- Are proficient to fluent in a programming or scripting language
such as MATLAB or Python
- Have demonstrated understanding of features and patterns in
data that identify the characteristics and behaviors of systems or
components.
- Have a current Top Secret security clearance.
- Have an understanding of potential adversary defensive and/or
