Join JRC's Missiles & Space Team!
We are actively recruiting a talented Access Control Specialist to
serve as the front-facing person for a mission-critical program at
the Washington Navy Yard. The Access Control Specialist will
support the Personnel and Physical Security team by greeting all
employees and visitors, professionally processing visitors via
DISS, answering questions regarding Visit Access Requests (VARs)
and directions within the facility while ensuring compliance with
all customer and DoD processes and procedures.
As the Access Control Specialist, you will---
What you bring to the table---
Associate degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent such as
High School/GED with four (4+) years of experience.
3+ years of experience in conducting analytical and support
activities related to access control research tasks.
Must have an active security clearance at the SECRET level or above
(or have held an active clearance in the past 2 years).
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, capable of
effective oral and written communication in English.
Capable of taking a task with minimal instructions and exceeding
expectations, with strong follow-up skills and attention to
detail.
Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment and changing
priorities.
Experience using the OnGuard Lenel access control systems for
enrollment activities, access level programming, running access
reports/records, and issuing badges.
Experience with the DoD DISS system.
Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical
data.
Ability to read and interpret management policies, regulations, and
directives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Access, Excel,
PowerPoint.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
environment.
Ability to escort personnel as directed.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
